WWII RAD Cap Badge (DISCOUNT!)

This authentic World War II German Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) cap badge is an original historical relic, recovered from a World War II site in Europe. These badges were worn on RAD headgear and feature the distinctive RAD emblem consisting of a spade combined with wheat ears and a swastika.

This example represents a late-war zinc variant and shows honest age-related wear and natural patina consistent with long-term burial. The reverse bears several period markings, including “Ges. Gesch.” (Gesetzlich Geschützt – “legally protected”).

The badge remains well preserved and clearly recognizable, but a small piece is missing from the tip of one of the wheat ears, as visible in the photographs. This is a relatively minor imperfection and does not detract significantly from the overall appearance of the badge. Because of this small defect, this final example is being offered at a discounted price.

The Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) was a compulsory labor organization that prepared young men for future military service through discipline, physical labor, and ideological training. During World War II, RAD members supported the war effort through construction work, infrastructure projects and various auxiliary roles.

RAD cap badges were an integral part of the organization’s uniform and remain recognizable examples of period German insignia. A genuine recovered relic with plenty of historical character and attractive original patina.
