WWII Wehrmacht cap eagle

Description

This is an authentic WWII German Wehrmacht cap eagle, worn on the front of Wehrmacht enlisted and NCO field caps. The eagle features the characteristic outstretched wings above a wreath containing a swastika, one of the most recognizable insignia associated with German military uniforms of the Second World War.

These examples retain excellent feather and wreath detail together with an attractive aged finish and natural patina. Both attachment prongs are present on the reverse, allowing the insignia to be mounted as originally intended and making these particularly attractive examples for display or restoration of an original period cap.

Original Wehrmacht cap eagles remain highly collectible due to their historical significance and direct association with German military uniforms and field equipment of the Second World War.

As multiple examples are available, minor variations in finish, patina and the position of the attachment prongs may occur. Each piece is unique.
