Description
This is an authentic WWII German Luftwaffe porcelain dinner plate, produced in 1942 by TK Thun Germany. The underside features the characteristic Luftwaffe eagle and swastika together with the “Fl. U.V.” marking, the manufacturer’s mark and the production year.
The plate retains a clean white glazed finish and remains in good original condition, showing only minor age-related wear consistent with its wartime history. The underside markings are particularly well preserved, with the Luftwaffe eagle, “Fl. U.V.”, TK Thun maker’s mark and 1942 production date all remaining clearly visible.
Porcelain pieces like this were used by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War in military kitchens, mess halls, airfields and other service facilities connected to the German air force. These plates were manufactured for regular military use and provide an interesting glimpse into the everyday equipment used by Luftwaffe personnel during the war.
Original marked Luftwaffe porcelain is highly collectible today due to its direct connection to everyday military life within the German armed forces during WWII. A beautiful and well-marked historical display piece for collectors of WWII Luftwaffe militaria, German military equipment or wartime porcelain.
