Description
This is an authentic Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) porcelain small dish, manufactured in 1937, making it an early piece from before the outbreak of WWII. This dish was produced for official use by members of the Reich Labour Service and represents the standard tableware issued to RAD facilities. It is clearly marked with the Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Germany factory stamp on the underside. Hutschenreuther was one of Germanyโs most renowned porcelain manufacturers, established in the early 19th century, and during the Third Reich period it supplied fine porcelain for both civilian and official organizations. The manufacturer stamp shows this item was produced in the Bavaria region. The 1937 date stamp makes this dish particularly significant as it predates the full militarization of the RAD during the war years.
Despite its age, this small dish remains complete and well-preserved, with its markings clearly visible. Period-marked RAD porcelain from the 1930s is scarce, especially with early pre-war dates and identifiable factory stamps. This makes it an excellent addition to any WWII German militaria or porcelain collection. The size of this item is 6,5 x 6,5 inch (16,5 x 16,5 cm).
