Description
This is an original WWII German Luftwaffe porcelain plate, produced in 1940 and intended for use within Luftwaffe dining and accommodation facilities. The reverse bears the official Luftwaffe property marking “Fl. U. V. 1940” (Flieger-Unterkunfts-Verwaltung), confirming its issue to Luftwaffe service infrastructure rather than civilian use. Also present is the manufacturer’s stamp “H&C Selb Bavaria – Heinrich & Co.”, a well-known Bavarian porcelain producer that supplied tableware to the German armed forces during the Third Reich.
The plate is made of quality white porcelain and represents a typical example of military-issued tableware used by Luftwaffe personnel during the early war period. Such items offer a tangible insight into the everyday life and logistical organization of the German air force during WWII. This is a genuine wartime piece, valued by collectors for its clear markings, military provenance, and historical relevance.
